Former coal shipping port, Amble is now a resort town with a marina, harbour, boat-builders yard, and sandy/shingle beaches.

Amble is located in the county of Northumberland. The Northumberland Coast is designated as an Area Of Outstanding Beauty (AONB), starting at Berwick upon Tweed at the Scottish borders. The coast is notable for the castles and small islands such as Lindisfarne.
