The 18th century fishing village of Low Newton by the Sea is possibly one of the most picturesque villages on the Northumberland coast.

The village is owned by The National Trust and consists of cottages set around a green and looking out to sea across the beach of Newton Haven.

Low Newton by the sea is located in the county of Northumberland. The Northumberland Coast is designated as an Area Of Outstanding Beauty (AONB), starting at Berwick upon Tweed at the Scottish borders. The coast is notable for the castles and small islands such as Lindisfarne.
